Connect: Beyond The Page / Songs Inspired By Social Justice

  • Orange Peel Asheville, NC (map)

Using music (song), film (screen), and storytelling (page), Connect: Beyond The Page explores how collaboration and adaptation create a narrative that can influence social change. Using Asheville, NC as a creative hub, speakers, panelists and performances will take place in unique settings around the city.

Our event brings together youthful ideology and well-worn experience to create a diverse demographic of men and women who are pioneers in their field. Attendees come to broaden their horizons and their minds. These are people who are looking for a more dynamic experience, who want to engage with others, and want to leave a festival with more than just a hangover.

We're living in a time where it's easy to feel disconnected and meaningful interactions are becoming increasingly scarce. Our goal with Connect is to do just that, bring people together to talk about what inspires us, what concerns us, and how we can support one another to create a community and world that we can all be proud of.

We are proud to partner with a number of different organizations and creatives to offer panels, screenings, and performances on topics ranging from social action to the creative process to interviews with iconic artists. Please check out panelist and event pages for more information.
